Cohorted Beauty Box October 2016

Beauty boxes are my favourite thing ever, if you haven’t already noticed, so it’s always a good day when one arrives! Especially if it contains lots of goodies I wouldn’t have thought of buying myself. These days, Cohorted is doing just that for me by introducing me to new and exciting brands every month. See last month’s box here to see what I mean.

The Black Edition Beauty Box from Cohorted is a £35 per month subscription and contains 4-5 full sized high-end and luxury beauty products, with the occasional extra sample thrown in for good measure. They feature brands such as theBalm, Too Faced, Mac and Nars to name a few, and the value is always incredible. I’m never disappointed. You can find more information or subscribe here.

Too Faced –  No Filter Selfie PowdersRRP £32

This adorable little trio of powders is designed to give you a flawless, glowing complexion without any help from Instagram filters. Sunrise, a shimmering golden shade, brightens and illuminates the skin. Totally Toasted adds a pretty bronzed glow and Moon River, a unique lilac shade, gives your skin an ethereal glow. The powders are super smooth and fine, making them go on like a dream. The pigmentation is light, but buildable, so that you don’t end up accidently having a bright purple face.

They might look scary in the pan, but with a light hand, they smooth out your skin and leave you looking perfected!

Dr Botanicals – Neroli & Shea Butter Body Nourishing CreamRRP £36.99

This body cream smells like happiness in a tub. The scent is just so uplifting. The cream itself is really thin and sinks in easily but has the feeling and effect of a rich body butter. The combination of neroli oil and shea butter is perfect, it makes my skin feel so soft and nourished!

Paul Yacomine – Microfinish No 1RRP Full size £20 (25ml value £10)

This cute little spray utilises organic oils to make your hair shiny, healthy and strong. The No 1 formula is great or all hair types, but especially fine hair that has to deal with lots of flyaways. A little bit of product goes a very long way, a tiny spritz warmed up in your hands is more than enough for glossy, swishy locks. It gives protection against heat styling and smells absolutely divine too.

Paul Yacomine – Microfinish No 3RRP Full size £20 (25ml value £10)

Microfinish No 3 provides the same benefits as No 1, but is better suited to thicker, curly hair types. In addition to adding shine and protection, this formula also detangles and controls frizz.

Paul Yacomine – Micro Treatment OilsRRP Full size £18 (25ml value £9)

I swear by oils for everything – skin, hair, nails, you name it, there’s an oil for it. This oil combines argan oil with rose, geranium and rosemary to create an oil which not only nourishes the hair but also provides protection from the sun, salt water and chlorine to make sure your hair is shielded from the elements. All of this means that coloured hair will keep its colour for longer!

That’s everything in this month’s Cohorted Beauty Box! I love that I was only familiar with one brand in the box, meaning that I got to discover more new things, but I kind of wish there was more variety. 3 products from one brand is quite a big chunk of the box! That being said, I will use everything in the box, minus the product for thick hair, but I appreciate that they’ve included options for various hair types. The value of the box this month is fantastic, with the products coming to £97.99, you’re getting way more than your money’s worth!

My favourite product this month is either the Too Faced palette or the hair oil. What would your top pick be? I’d love to know.

See you next time!
