One of the best things about being a part of the online beauty community is discovering new and exciting products/brands. But it can be a little difficult to keep track of all the latest and greatest beauty products that exist! That’s where Little Known Box comes in!
July’s theme is the Holiday Edit! Full of clever products to make trips easier, more enjoyable and a lot more glamorous! It’s also a box of firsts for Little Known Box – each product is from a category they haven’t included before (eg nail polish, face mask) which I really admire. Some subscription boxes send you really similar stuff month after month and it gets boring. I love that this is all first-time products, variety keeps things exciting!
There are few brands that are as hyped in the online beauty community as Makeup Geek. Everywhere you click, there are people ranting and raving about how great their products are. Naturally, I wanted to try their products for myself. So when I received their Blush Pan in Infatuation in a Blogger Beauty Box, I couldn’t wait to put it to the test!
The shade Infatuation is what I would consider a blush/bronzer hybrid. Depending where you place it, it will give a different effect. To me, that’s a win because on low-key makeup days, or just when I’m in a rush , it multi-tasks and saves me time and effort! The peachy tones in this shade work really well to warm up the skin and it’s the perfect depth of shade for my skin tone, although I can see this being flattering on a wide variety of skin tones.
I’ve been to a fair few blogger events in the past year which I loved, but I noticed that they were all really far away and I wasn’t getting to know any bloggers in my area. It’s so nice to have made friends, but it kinda sucks that I rarely get to see any of them as they all live really far away! Luckily, the lovely Chloe from Beauty and the Girl had the same thought, so she set up the Bristol Bloggers Meet 1.0 at The Cosy Club, Bristol!
The location was stunning, everyone was so lovely and chatty and, best of all, it was all for a great cause. With the sale of tickets for the event and the raffle, we were raising money for Off The Record Bristol, an amazing charity who provide support, advice, therapies and much more to young adults in Bristol and the surrounding area who are dealing with mental health issues. They are also a great support for the LGBTQ community. It’s always great to be involved with events that give to charities, it makes the day mean so much more.
One of my favourite things about the Blogger Beauty Box is that it’s always full of surprises. The vast range of products that are included means you never know what you’re going to receive. Make up? Hair products? Skincare? Who knows! One thing you can count on is that you’ll discover something new!
The Blogger Beauty Box is £10 per month including delivery and is insane value for money! It’s such a useful and affordable way to try an amazing amount of products. It usually contains around 4-5 full sized or deluxe items with the odd sample size thrown in for good measure. It was designed to connect bloggers with brands and to introduce products and brands that are a little less mainstream, but still wonderful.
Cohorted beauty boxes are my little slice of luxury each month and, coming down from a holiday-high, I felt like I really needed it this month as a little pick me up. The box rarely disappoints so, as soon as it arrived at my door, I knew I was in for a treat!
The Black Edition Beauty Box from Cohorted is a £35 per month subscription and contains 4-5 full sized high-end and luxury beauty products, with the occasional extra sample thrown in for good measure. They feature brands such as theBalm, Too Faced, Mac and Nars to name a few, and the value is always incredible. I’m never disappointed. You can find more information or subscribe here.
June was an amazing month for me. I took some time out and spent the month enjoying myself and relaxing. I needed it. Time away from everything didn’t stop me on my quest to use up as many of my beauty products as possible. In fact, I did really well with make up this month.
Using something up doesn’t necessarily mean I liked it. So, to let you know what’s worth the money and what should be avoided at all costs, I give each product a mini-review and give it a rating (BUY or BYE).
For only £15 per month, Little Known Box brings you a variety of full-sized and deluxe-sized products ranging from skincare to hair, nails, beauty and more! It offers variety, undiscovered brands and really good products (you won’t find any products thrown in just to make up the numbers, everything I’ve received has been amazing quality).
The inspiration behind this month’s collection of products is to give you the ultimate summer skin: clean and radiant. It’s time to get your glow on.
