So February’s finally over – is anyone else completely over winter? I wish it’d just hurry up and be warm already. I’m just not built for the cold. Luckily, I’ve been using products that either give me summer vibes or help me hide from the cold. Naturally, these became my must-have products for the month.
Sometimes, you just want to use things that make you feel happy. These are the things that do that for me…
We’ve all heard the hype about Z Palettes and how absolutely life-changing they are. The thing is, they’re all a bit same-y and impersonal. There’s only a certain amount of designs, so chances are there are hundreds of other people with the same palette. If your make up is going to be a way of expressing yourself, surely the palette you keep it in should be too!
Now, it’sto get absolute anything you want printed on your very own palette, thanks to Crowd Colour. After backing them on Kickstarter, I was lucky enough to beamong the first group of people to create my very own palette.
I’m going to be straight with you – this month’s Blogger Beauty Box is 100% the best box they’ve produced so far! You can find last month’s box here. Jam picked to the brim with a wide selection of goodies, it was impossible for me to resist falling in love with it! Everything from solid basics to products I didn’t even know existed, February’s Box is a real treasure trove.
The Blogger Beauty Box is £10 per month including delivery and usually contains around 4-5 full sized or deluxe items (although they completely outdid themselves this month!). It was designed to connect bloggers with brands and to introduce products and brands that are a little less mainstream, but wonderful.
Let’s jump in to this month’s box!
Lately, it seems like I’ve only talked about higher end make up. That doesn’t seem right at all to me – I’m not that fancy! So, I want to take a moment to remind us all how great drugstore make up can be!
The quality of make up you can find at the drugstore has improved soooo much over the past couple of years. You can get your hands on a pretty amazing products for a really reasonable price! Let’s take a look at the best of the best with my top 5 brands…

It’s that time again, the latest Cohorted Beauty Box has arrived! It’s one of the best value boxes in my opinion and it never fails to impress me. (You can see last month’s box here) I was super shocked this month to see how absolutely packed with products the box is!
The Black Edition Beauty Box from Cohorted is £35 per month and contains 4-5 full sized high-end and luxury beauty products, with the occasional extra sample thrown in for good measure. They feature brands such as Cargo, Too Faced, bareMinerals and Nars to name a few, and the value always far outweighs the cost of the box. I’m never disappointed. You can find more information or subscribe here.
Let’s dive in to the goodies!
It’s not often you’ll hear someone admit that they have too much make up and I’ll tell you why that is: It’s a difficult and heartbreaking thing to come to terms with. There’s still a little part of me saying that I have to catch them all, Pokemon style.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying there’s an ‘ideal’ amount of make up to own or that there’s any such thing as too much make up, but the reality is that I don’t have anywhere to put any more. In our flat, I have one little cupboard to keep all my make up in and it’s gotten rather full. It might be time to cut back.
I did a quick count up of all the make up I have and I’m slightly embarrassed! I’m not going to go through all the numbers here, but I could in another post if you’d like.
I was most shocked by the amount of lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes I have. It turns out I have 46 lipsticks and 16 eyeshadow palettes, which I think is a few more than I need.
There are a few ways of shrinking your collection (or stopping it growing at least). I’m going to share them with you: 1. So that I stick to what I’m doing 2. To maybe help you out if you’re getting overwhelmed with your stash.
